Wonderful times after CT

Weeeeeeeeeeeee!!! The dreadful Common Test is finally over! After much grueling and agonizing hours of mugging for it, all is done for and over. And of course, life after exams must be celebrated the 08s64 way!!!

08s64 CAMP!
We went to Marina Square to catch a movie, "Push". Seriously, this show totally sucks. It is suppose to be some action movie and it came out to be some comedy where all the funny part arent suppose to be funny. -__- But, we all had a great laugh trying to imitate the retarded looking actors!! =) It was bowling afterwards! Did crazy things like bowling with 2 hands and Minyang VS Daniel! Settled on going to teoheng to sing off our mind from the CT! Hearing everyone showing off their 'wonderful vocal skills' was like putting yourselves into Esplande hearing the best choir in the world singing. Dam pro! The most heartwarming parts were the 'You Raise Me Up' and '朋友' where everyone sang together. Headed back to school to meet the rest of them to continue our camp!

Ate pizza during our briefing and rested awhile before starting the 1st activity of the night! HideNseek! It was a special version where a girl was paired with a guy to go hide somewhere in the school! Had great lots of fun and I believed that gave us an opportunity to open up to one another more!

We got a curfew when Mr Tan came, and so activities stopped. -_- We were supposed to meet at 2am in the morning to continue playing but the guys were all happily sleeping in the hall with 4 fans blowing at us! The girls chatted the whole way till we meet! (cant imgaine the amount of gossips they have.)

We gathered at 4.45am to prepare for the VOG run. We are the 1st class to start off the run! The lighting of the torch was glorified furthur with us as the background! Haha. It was really a fast run but we all had a great time perservering together and reaching the finishing line!

That about marks the end of the camp with everyone feeling exshauted but happy! The guys went onto play games while the girls went to catch their much-needed-sleep.

I really wanna thank the camp committee for spending time to plan it, even sacrificing the time to study for Chemistry! Presenting to you the camp committee: ME ME ME and liukun.

VOG
It was quite a new experince from last year's Sports Day where we just sat there to watch the games. We managed to participate this year with the guys playing floorball for URSA. All was well until our star player, Saravanan injured his arm. Hope you are feeling ok now! Walked around after our match and practically stoned for very long before catching the cheerleading.

Sorry about this overdue post!

160th post.

The JC Lightbulb Joke.

Q: How many RJC students does it take to change a light bulb?
A: 4 whole faculties. One to design the new bulb, one to
manufacture and test it out, one to write a proposal on it and one to market it.

Q: How many HCJC students does it take to change a light bulb?
A: The whole school. To compete with RJC.

Q: How many VJC students does it take to change a light bulb?
A: The whole school. One student to screw it in and the rest to cheer and wave flags and banners to give him/her support.

Q: How many NJC students does it take to change a light bulb?
A: None. They can study without light.

Q: How many AJC students does it take to change a light bulb?
A: They're too busy trying to be one of the top 5 JCs.

Q: How many ACJC students does it take to change a light bulb?
A: None. They'll rather use all their money to employ YJC to do it for them.

Q: How many YJC students does it take to change a light bulb?
A: None. Only one teacher to tell them what a light bulb is in the first place and to demonstrate how to change the light bulb. (So how do you think they're able to change it for ACJC?)

Q: How many CJC students does it take to change a light bulb?
A: They'll prefer it to be darker. (Hmmmm?*raises eye-brows* )

Q: How many JJC students does it take to change a light bulb?
A: None. Their physics is so bad that they made their macho male physics teacher cry.

Q: How many TPJC students does it take to change a light bulb?
A: None. Would they even bother?

Q: How many SAJC students does it take to change a light bulb?
A: None. They believe in praying for it.

Q: How many NYJC students does it take to change a light bulb?
A: None. They are still using oil lamps.

Q: How many SRJC students does it take to change a light bulb?
A: Huh, what litebarb?

Q: How many PJC students does it take to change a light bulb?
A: Heck the light bulb lah, the principal would do something about the rightbarbs. Let's do 300 jumping jacks for not wearing the proper school attire.

Q: How many MJC students does it take to change a light bulb?
A: None. They are too busy trying to get promoted.

Q: How many IJC students does it take to change a light bulb?
A: None. They are Innovians. They'll find ways out of the dark.

Q: How many TJC students does it take to change a light bulb?
A: None. They think they are already very bright.

(Hey, I'm not supposed to be here because I'm supposed to be studying for our LAST PAPER CHEMISTRY! Other than Ci Yi, all the best for COMPUTING tmr afternoon! AH but anyway...)

HELLO PEOPLE! If you happen to read this post on Wednesday, 11/3, night (that's tonight) please take note of the following announcements!

1. REGARDING STAYOVER BEFORE VOG DAY (that's tmr)
Please bring the following thingies for tmr!
- 1 full set of clothes
- House T-shirt
- Bathing stuffs and toiletries
- Jacket (optional)
- Torchlight (optional)
- Sleeping bag? (hmm)

2. REGARDING REGISTRATION OF CAREER TALK (31/3)
We have to sign up for the career talks on 31/3! Please go your VJC Mail and check the emails sent by Mr Ho Wei Kang (yeah it's kinda spam actually) and fill up the survey, even if you're not interested in any talks (yeah and that means you'll Connect2 with Ms Cai)
Anyway... please go and register, because (according to Liu Kun) "there will be penalties for the three classes with poorest response". Don't know whether it's true, but I'm sure we don't want to find out, do we? :/

3. REGARDING VOG GAMES SIGN-UP
Announcement from Ci Yi:

"Hey guys, this is UR-gent.
We need U!

For the upcoming VOG, many of the activities are team-based.
i.e. The games cannot continue unless there are enough people to form a team.

While we have overwhelming responses for activities like Captain's Ball and Soccer, there are some other games which are not as fortunate:
(1) Pentathlon: 1 more female needed for team.
(2) Golf: 1 more person needed for team.
(3) Tennis: 1 more female needed (for mixed doubles).
(4) Volleyball: 2 more females and 1 more male needed for team.

Please do not be mistaken.
This is not a desperate attempt to chiong for participation points (although it's quite effective, in a way).
As mentioned, due to the nature of the events (team-based), many people who are interested in a particular sport are denied of the chance to indulge themselves in the game, unless there are enough people participating in it.

Well, winning isn't everything (no, neither is it the only thing).
At the end of the day, we really want you to enjoy the VOG; a day to be remembered not because that it is on Friday the 13th, but because you have enjoyed yourselves thoroughly, regardless of the results.

Well? Still not convinced to join? More reasons:
FOR J2s: It's your last year in VJ (I don't think anyone's gonna stay for one or two more years)!
FOR J1s: If you don't try this year, next year's VOG (assuming it still exists) may be right before your CTs!!!
FOR IP2s: It's your last year in IP. You may be reallocated to another house next year. ='( This is your last chance playing for URSA!
FOR IP1s: According to some verse in the bible, "Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but be an example for other believers in your speech, behavior, love, faithfulness, and purity. "

Anyway, let's not digress far away from the main topic.
As mentioned above, we need U!
URSA without U is just RSA (Real Sucky Ahh..?).
Let it not be the case.

===============================================
To sign up, just go to the URSA board and write your name on the sheets.
If it's removed already, just SMS any house commer to ask for the availability.
The number's conveniently placed on the board.
===============================================

Be part of the VOG.
Be part of the defining moment for URSA.

What more can I say?
Hmm.. Maybe "Jiayou for Common Tests (which is not very common)"?
AND... GO GO GOLD URSA for VOG (and other stuffs)!

P.S.:
WOW. It's AMAZING how you can manage to read the whole thing.
I really hope you do not see this only after VOG.. =X"

Yayaya go sign up and help URRRRRRSA!

Haha okayokay back to studying Chemistry. All the best if anyone's reading this post! :D

(Oh, I'm not Chang Hong btw if you haven't realised -.-)
