if we have an overseas trip to genting and time square in malacca (or KL, i don't know which :P) at the end of the year, going there by coach upon joining a tour, would you guys be interested? It's going to be approximately $300 (from what my dad tells me) or lesser. At the third wek of december like that. Keep this thought in mind okay!

FINALLY, QIAN BIAN questions for you guys (: Which superhero is stupid? Superman. Because he wear his undies outside. Which superhero is more stupid than Superman? Batman. Because he wear his undies outside and uses a belt. Which superhero is more stupid than Batman? Robin. Because he follow Batman's wearing style. Which superhero is the stupiest of all? Wonderwoman. Because she wear her undies outside and she wear her belt on her head.
As the OP dates are drawing nearer and nearer, all of us are getting freaking tense up. Really, as a class which talk so much EXCEPT during meals, oral presentation should not be a problem! Haha. Anyway, here are some important dates to take note of:
21st October - Rehearsal from 10.25-12.45/13.55 depending on OP grp
22th October - Filming workshop from 10.45-14.00 at t15
24th October - Rehearsal with PW head from 8.00-12.00 at t21
28th/29th October - Rehearsal (subject to changes due to chinese)
4th November - Actual OP from 11.45-1500
Those venues not stated are as follow: vj161,162 and 163 at t33 and vj164 and 165 at t26. This is contributed mostly by Kaye and abit of Minyang's brain. Good luck to all groups and let us all get As!!!
Hello people! This post is on behalf of the OCIP LAOS TEAM, which, me, Chang Hong and Jian Wei are coincidentally in. We (or rather the LAOS people) really need your help in making their lifes better. To do so, there are 2 ways:
(1) NON-MONETARY DONATIONS
We will be setting up the donation boxes around the college. The stuffs we are collecting are:-
exercise books (of course empty ones)
stationeries (of course pen with ink, eraser with the rubber part, etc)
educational materials (of course not so cheem stuff, i.e. physics/computing)
clothes (of course no your bdae suit/qipao)
sports materials (of course not stuffs like golf clubs)
toys (of course not cute toys like TIGGERs)
The location for the donation boxes are:
Near the koi pond opposite the cic notice board
Concourse
Outside staffroom
(2) MONETARY DONATION
Of course, if you want to give us $$$ to buy them stuffs, you can! But not like just put a donation box and ask you donate la. Some initiatives include BUBBLETEA SALE (see plasma screen), MACDONALDS, etc. So, look out for them.
However, it is to be noted that you should donate willingly and happily, right from the bottom of your hearts. Ya, with that, I end my post.

Haha. So please remind each other dun waste electricity! Anyway after some calculations, everyone need to pay only $3.50 for the chalet, which is even cheaper than a odac tile. haha. In addition, after using my super brain, i suggest everyone pay $20 to our poor class fund which is -$0.30 now. Any remainder can just be pulled over to next year.
Date: 10th and 11th November Venue: Obviously the chalet at Pasir Ris Amount: $20 pax Things we are going to do: The normal chalet stuffs but obviously with 08S64style! Eg.BBQ, cycling, maybe escape, talk crap, lame games and the list goes on and on and on and on and on.......
So let us look forward to the arrival of THE DAY!!! =)

6 Management Lessons for LIFE
JUST FOR LAUGHS Lesson 1: A man is getting into the shower just as his wife is finishing up her shower, when the doorbell rings. The wife quickly wraps herself in a towel and runs downstairs. When she opens the door, there stands Bob, the next-door neighbor. Before she says a word, Bob says, 'I'll give you $800 to drop that towel.' After thinking for a moment, the woman drops her towel and stands naked in front of Bob, after a few seconds, Bob hands her $800 and leaves. The woman wraps back up in the towel and goes back upstairs. When she gets to the bathroom, her husband asks, 'Who was that?' 'It was Bob the next door neighbor,' she replies. 'Great,' the husband says, 'did he say anything about the $800 he owes me?' Moral of the story: If you share critical information pertaining to credit and risk with your shareholders in time, you may be in a position to prevent avoidable exposure.
Lesson 2: A priest offered a Nun a lift. She got in and crossed her legs, forcing her gown to reveal a leg. The priest nearly had an accident. After controlling the car, he stealthily slid his hand up her leg. The nun said, 'Father, remember Psalm 129?' The priest removed his hand. But, changing gears, he let his hand slide up her leg again. The nun once again said, 'Father, remember Psalm 129?' The priest apologized 'Sorry sister but the flesh is weak.' Arriving at the convent, the nun sighed heavily and went on her way. On his arrival at the church, the priest rushed to look up Psalm 129. It said, 'Go forth and seek, further up, you will find glory.' Moral of the story: If you are not well informed in your job, you might miss a great opportunity.
Lesson 3: A sales rep, an administration clerk, and the manager are walking to lunch when they find an antique oil lamp. They rub it and a Genie comes out. The Genie says, 'I'll give each of you just one wish.' 'Me first! Me first!' says the admin clerk. 'I want to be in the Bahamas, driving a speedboat, without a care in the world.' Puff! She's gone. 'Me next! Me next!' says the sales rep. 'I want to be in Hawaii , relaxing on the beach with my personal masseuse, an endless supply of Pina Coladas and the love of my life.' Puff! He's gone. 'OK, you're up,' the Genie says to the manager. The manager says, 'I want those two back in the office after lunch.' Moral of the story: Always let your boss have the first say.
Lesson 4 An eagle was sitting on a tree resting, doing nothing. A small rabbit saw the eagle and asked him, 'Can I also sit like you and do nothing?' The eagle answered: 'Sure, why not.' So, the rabbit sat on the ground below the eagle and rested. All of a sudden, a fox appeared, jumped on the rabbit and ate it. Moral of the story: To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be sitting very, very high up.
Lesson 5 A turkey was chatting with a bull. 'I would love to be able to get to the top of that tree' sighed the turkey, 'but I haven't got the energy.' 'Well, why don't you nibble on some of my droppings?' replied the bull. They're packed with nutrients.' The turkey pecked at a lump of dung, and found it actually gave him enough strength to reach the lowest branch of the tree. The next day, after eating some more dung, he reached the second branch. Finally after a fourth night, the turkey was proudly perched at the top of the tree. He was promptly spotted by a farmer, who shot him out of the tree. Moral of the story: Bull Shit might get you to the top, but it won't keep you there..
Lesson 6 A little bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold the bird froze and fell to the ground into a large field. While he was lying there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on him. As the frozen bird lay there in the pile of cow dung, he began to realize how warm he was. The dung was actually thawing him out! He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy. A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate. Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of cow dung, and promptly dug him out and ate him. Morals of the story: (1) Not everyone who shits on you is your enemy. (2) Not everyone who gets you out of shit is your friend. (3) And when you're in deep shit, it's best to keep your mouth shut!
I guess today is a rather sian day for an-always-crazily-hyped-up-class. It is quite serious as not much laughter is heard. The stupid mood killer was none other than the getting back of promo results. Yup some of us may have scored well, some not so. But there is no time to go mull over it anymore. Let us start afresh and use the holidays to buck up on all the subjects! We shall show the rest of VJC that 08s64 is the BEST! Muhahaha...
So guys, please dun be sad ok? Cheer up and let the laughter fill the atmosphere once again!

Happy Hari Raya Puasa!!! (Actually i'm not very concern about this cos there is not much muslim friends that i noe of) But anw, to all those lucky muslims out there, HAPPY NEW YEAR! Imagine all of the delicious food you get to eat and the new clothes you get to wear. We would have to wait till nxt year. :( Haha.Hari Raya Puasa is the most significant festival for Muslims as it marks the end of the fasting month, Ramadhan. Near Hari Raya, Geylang Serai is transformed into a bustling market selling all kinds of delicious food and festivity goods.
Now, coming to the more interesting thing, which falls on the same day tooooo: HAPPY CHILDREN'S DAY!!!
Woots!!! This is every children's dream day. Can you believe it that there is this day when it is dedicated to the child and the child is the greatest of them all today? Forget about the troubling Wall Street Crisis, forget about the China Milk Scare, forget about JBJ(some singapore politician) dies. Just indulge yourself for this day into the world of a child, where there is no worries, no problems and only joy!
Think of all the wonderful moments we have when we were young and let us relive that moment.
Remember the times, we can sit on the swing for hours?(although we still stone now for hours, our butts cant fit into the seat anymore -__-)
Remember the times we "quarrel" with our parents to let us sit on the kiddie ride one more time?(we also cannot squeeze our butts in right now.) Remeber the times we ate ice-cream till our whole face kanna the cream??
Those were the times we were able to do all sorts of stupid things and nobody in the world will snarl at you. Those were the times were there are no stupid promos nor PW. Those were the times where it will be lost forever...
We have already grown out of our childhood. We may have not lived our childhood to our very best so let make it up for now. Go do all those spastics things you had wished to do but was afraid of other ppl's opinion cos if we dont do it today, we may never have a chance to do it. Haha. I'm off to play with my little toys cars now!
